You can search courses, build schedules, and use CourseQuest without creating an account or giving us your name, email address, or other identifying information.
Your data without an account
When you use CourseQuest without an account, your browser stores random identifiers and preferences needed to recognize your schedules and degree plans. CourseQuest stores the associated planning data under those random identifiers, not your identity. Clearing your browser's site data or using a different browser or device can remove access to it.
Accounts
Creating an account is optional. If you choose to create one, we collect the account information needed to provide sign-in and save your schedules and plans across devices. Your existing anonymous planning data may be connected to that account after you sign in.
Contact messages
You may contact us without an account. If you include an email address in a contact message, we use it only to respond to your message.
Anonymous analytics
We collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics to understand how CourseQuest is used and to improve it. These analytics are not intended to identify you personally and are not linked to your account, schedules, or degree plans.
Course information
CourseQuest displays publicly available course information from university systems. We do not ask for, collect, or use your university login credentials.
