Catalog description

This class provides a foundation for understanding current frameworks, service delivery models, and best practices in early childhood special education. Students learn about the coaching and consultation process, how to collaborate effectively with others, approaches to individualizing instruction, and how to facilitate the individualized education program (IEP) process when working with young children with disabilities and their families. PREREQ: ADMISSION TO PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION AND (EARLY CHILDHOOD/EARLY CHILDHOOD SPECIAL EDUCATION MAJOR)
