Analysis of current developments and changes in foreign language education. Critical examination of specific problems, conflicts, and trends -e.g. in teaching basic skills, teaching culture and literature, use of audio-visual materials and the language laboratory; the effect of current competition and foreign language student teaching supervision. Study of curriculum revision and of instructional materials. Individual curriculum projects or research possibilities.
