Catalog description

This course provides an in-depth exploration of multicultural education, with a particular focus on how systemic racism and culturally deficit paradigms hinder the academic success of many ethnically diverse students of Color in U.S. K-12 schools. Additionally, the course examines how culturally responsive, culturally relevant, and hip-hop pedagogies can serve as effective frameworks for fostering equitable teaching and learning environments for all students.
