This course explores culturally responsive, family-centered practices and home visiting approaches to support young children from birth to school age across diverse abilities and backgrounds. Emphasizing collaboration between families and professionals, students examine theories and strategies for inclusive and family-centered practice, communication, and interdisciplinary partnership. Through an ecological and family systems lens, the course encourages reflection on cultural context, professional roles, and values in working with families to promote children’s development and learning.
