BEGINNING SURFING I

Catalog description

Introduces students to the history and globalization of surfing, fundamental principles of surfboard design, and equipment options. Students will learn basic knowledge related to ocean safety, surf conditions, and surfing etiquette. An emphasis will be placed on beginning-level surfing skills and techniques. Students are limited to a combined total of four enrollments in KNES 33, 34, 35, and 36.
