A continuation of Basic Nutrition (FNH 121) as it applies to current nutrition topics dealing with personal health. Includes calculation of energy requirements and the role of weight management to maintain good health and prevent disease. Explores various theories of obesity including the role of environmental and genetic factors. Identifies the dual role of physical activity and nutrition in health promotion including nutritional needs for both endurance and strength training athletes. Explores the concept of disordered eating and the factors that contribute to its development. Co-requisite: FNH 121
