Catalog description
This course provides the student with a comprehensive introduction to labor-management relations. It examines the goals, processes, legal requirements, and environment of labor relations and the role of employees, unions, employers and government. Collective bargaining, contract administration, the handling of employee grievances, and negotiation and conflict resolution methods are covered. Emphasis is placed on building productive labor-management relationships. Prerequisite Course(s): Prerequisite: Take LLAW 310 and one course in each group: Group 1 (INTL 301 or MGMT 301), Group 2 (MGMT 205 or MGMT 370), and Group 3 (HRMT 315 or MGMT 315) Classroom Hours - Laboratory and/or Studio Hours – Course Credits: 3-0-3
