The Profession of Nutrition and Dietetics

Catalog description

This course provides an overview of the discipline of nutrition. It explores the academic requirements, professional roles and responsibilities of the Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and other nutrition professionals, as well as career opportunities, and career planning. Students will be introduced to organizations for nutrition professionals and understand the governance of dietetics practice including the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Code of Ethics and the Standards of Professional Performance.
