Catalog description

This course explores the fundamentals of research in nutrition, including study design, methodology, data collection, analysis, and dissemination. Course activities emphasize critical evaluation of published studies to foster analytical thinking and evidence-based practice. Class projects include the development and presentation of a comprehensive research proposal or project. May be taught concurrently with DTN 695. Cannot receive credit for both DTN 595 and DTN 695. Prerequisite: DTN 335 ; and statistics course: IPE 381 or QBA 237 or SOC 220 or PSY 200 or MTH 340 or MTH 545 or concurrent enrollment.
