Advanced Human Nutrition and Metabolism

Catalog description

This course builds on foundational concepts of human nutrition and metabolism, with a focus on metabolic regulation, nutritional genomics, and the role of nutrients in modulating inflammation. Students develop critical thinking, scientific writing, and literature evaluation skills to address complex nutritional challenges in dietetics practice. Cannot be taken Pass/Not Pass. May be taught concurrently with DTN 662. Cannot receive credit for both DTN 562 and DTN 662. Prerequisite: DTN 532 .
