Catalog description
This course examines the biochemical properties and metabolic pathways of macronutrients and micronutrients, emphasizing their interactions and roles in health and disease. Students will explore nutrient digestion, absorption, and metabolism at both cellular and systemic levels, integrating foundational concepts in genetics as they relate to nutritional genomics. Prerequisite: DTN 240 ; and BMS 308 or KIN 252 ; and CHM 201 or concurrent enrollment.
