Catalog description

Credits: 3 Introduces the scope, roles, and processes of event management with emphasis on social and nonprofit events (e.g., weddings, galas, life cycle celebrations). Students learn lifecylce planning, stakeholder management, basic budgeting, vendor coordination, ethics, and entry-level risk awareness using the EMBOK framework as a conceptual model of domains and processes. The course builds fluency with industry language and roles and connects practice to business events vocabulary that will be expanded in Event Management II
