Catalog description

Identifies characteristics of alcoholic beverage classifications including wine, beer and spirits, and also non-alcoholic beverages including distilled spirit-free alternatives, alcohol-free products, tea and coffee. Introduces essentials of food and beverage pairing techniques based on identifying taste characteristics of beverages and food. Examines fermentation, brewing, distillation, mocktails, and flavor trait profiling of coffee and tea. Arts & Sciences Elective Code: B
