Catalog description

This course provides an in-depth introduction to the structure and function of the feed and pet food manufacturing industries, focusing on their organization, key players, and market dynamics. Students will learn an overview of the operational processes, from raw material procurement to distribution, while also exploring the roles of major industry sectors such as commercial feed mills, integrated feed mills, dry pet food, wet pet food, pet treats, and others. Emphasis will be placed on how different departments and functions collaborate to ensure efficient production and delivery of feed and pet food. The course also highlights career paths, from entry-level roles to specialized positions, within these industries.
