Curriculum and Assessment of Students with Visual Impairments

Catalog description
This course provides students with knowledge and understanding of the educational assessment of students with visual impairments and additional disabilities including deaf-blindness. Students practice assessing, planning and evaluating the educational programs for students with visual impairments. Also covered in this course are assessment technologies for students with visual impairments; determination of learning needs and appropriate learning media; and the relationship of assessment, IEP development, and placement in working with individuals, their families, and educational and service providers. This course is delivered via a distance education format.
