Catalog description

Methods for remediation & adaptation of instruction in academic & functional skills for students with moderate/severe disabilities accessing the adapted curriculum. Emphasizes instructional approaches such as task analysis, systematic instruction, functional/daily living skills, and general curriculum access using adapted content standards. A 10-hour practicum placement (incorporated into this course) provides field experience to practice skills learned in this course.
