Catalog description

This course focuses on developing a thorough understanding of the theory and philosophy of behavior analysis. This includes the philosophy of behaviorism, concepts and principles of behavior analysis, and theoretical approaches to explaining behavior. The topics covered in this class will include behaviorism as a philosophy of science, foundations, history, categories of behavior, selection by conseqences, private events, verbal behavior, epistemology and comparison to non-behavioral interpretations of behavior.
