Catalog description

This class focuses on developing leadership skills in transition coordinators to effectively lead and support the needs of individuals with disabilities. The course references prominent theories on leadership, including transformational, situational and distributed leadership, to provide a comprehensive understanding of effective leadership in the fields. Students will gain the capacity to lead change initiatives, develop and implement effective educational programs, and build successful partnerships with caregivers/families and community organizations to promote positive postsecondary outcomes for individuals with disabilities.
