Catalog description

Methods for remediation and adaptation of instruction in academic and functional skills for students with moderate/severe disabilities accessing the adapted curriculum. Emphasizes instructional approaches such as task analysis, systematic instruction, functional/daily living skills and general curriculum access using adapted content standards. A practicum placement provides field experience to practice skills learned in this course.
