Catalog description

This course prepares preservice special education teachers to identify, remediate and support individuals with math disabilities and challenges through the use of dynamic assessment and evidence-based instructional methods. In this course, a review of the skills, concepts and processes related to the major math content area as outlined in the Virginia SOL will be provided. The course will provide an in-depth examination of math deficits, supports and alternative instructional methods related to each math content area.
