EXED 305 provides an overview of acquired brain injury - its causes, complications, consequences and considerations for survivors, caregivers and families. Instruction will emphasize rehab treatment philosophies and approaches, cultural competencies, gender and sexuality issues, military populations, pediatrics and adolescents, and families. Students will learn how to apply knowledge of brain injury sequelae to future healthcare settings and educational learning environments.
