Develops an understanding of the biological roles of the nutrients through application of advanced nutritional concepts relating to digestion, absorption and metabolism of macro- and micronutrients. Emphasizes the practical implications in the diet and particular attention is placed on the etiology and prevention of nutrient-related diseases. Offered by Nutrition and Food Studies .
