Explores the multifaceted nature of tourism from social-behavioral science perspectives with a global awareness angle. Includes the economic, historical, political, psychological, and sociological dimensions of tourism. Evaluates the diverse nature of world travel destinations, cultures, and ecology. Includes contemporary world cultures, their relationship with American culture, and emerging trends, such as food tourism and health care tourism. Prerequisites: None.
