Integration of principles of human nutrition and laboratory. Emphasis on scientific literacy and the study of macro- and micronutrients for disease prevention throughout the human life cycle. Students examine human nutrient metabolism, nutrition's role in maintaining health, and evidence-based principles for preventing nutrition-related health conditions. Prerequisites: None.
