This course uses Duke Men's Basketball as a case study to explore the intersection of race, global media, education policy, and international migration. While rooted in the history of Duke's racial integration and media portrayal, this course expands to analyze how Duke's global athletic reputation shapes and is shaped by international players, U.S. immigration systems, and labor markets. Students will engage in critical media analysis, storytelling, and global research to reimagine ethical futures for education and sport.
