Catalog description
This course presents an overview of medical robotics intended for graduate students and advanced undergraduates. Topics include robot kinematics, registration, navigation, tracking, treatment planning, and technical and medical aspects of specific applications. The course will include guest lectures from robotics researchers and surgeons, field trips (optional) to local medical robotics companies, and observation of live surgical cases. The course is open to non-majors who have the requisite background.
