Research or related work with a faculty sponsor, in an area of psychology. Faculty members frequently require PSYC 111, 243 and 344 as prerequisites. Consult with individual faculty member. May be repeated for credit up to a maximum of 16 credit hours of PSYC 392, 397, 490 and 492 combined (Harpur Policy). Only eight credits of independent study can count toward the psychology major by replacing one of the two seminars for the 400-level requirement. Prerequisites: Consent of instructor.
