Catalog description

An introduction to technical theatre and the creation of scenic elements. Includes basic concepts of painting techniques, set construction, set movement, prop construction, backstage organization, and career possibilities. May include stage management, lighting, and/or sound techniques. Lecture, reading, projects, and practical experience. Integrated with Yuba College theatre productions. Advisory: Students should be able to climb a ladder and lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
