Discover the world of theatrical performance. Students will learn through applied techniques and hands-on experience in rehearsals. Together, we'll bring a production to life, exploring plays from different periods, cultures, and styles. Activities in acting, movement, voice, design, directing, and stage management promote holistic well-being, stimulating physical, mental, social, and emotional growth. This is an intensive course, ideal for Theatre Arts majors looking to build a career in theatre, but is also welcoming to new performers and non-majors as well. Acceptance to this course is by audition or interview. Grades are Pass/No Pass option. Repeatable: May be repeated three times. Entrance Skills: Audition required; THART-29R is an intensive course designed to prepare Theatre Arts majors for careers in acting and/or performance production. In order to be fully successful in this course, students should already possess some knowledge of theatre performance and production.
