Ever dreamed of being in the spotlight? This introductory course is your backstage pass to the world of acting! Learn essential skills for better memorization, movement, vocal freedom, and character development. Explore the building blocks of bringing a story to life through acting, starting with an understanding of imagination, textual interpretation, learning to trust your intuition, responding spontaneously, and developing a free imagination. Learn collaboration and how to create theatre as an ensemble. Discover the power of improvisation and play to bring characters to life in scenes and monologues. At the conclusion of this course, students will be ready to take the next step and continue an acting journey through more advanced classes and daily life on the world's stage. Grades are P N/P option.
