Catalog description
Speaking, reading and writing in Spanish, targeted to heritage students with oral fluency. Readings pertinent to the culture, history and literature of Hispanics in the United States, Latin America and Spain. Compositions exploring personal, political, and cultural issues, as well as analysis of Spanish and Latin American literary pieces. Exploration of grammatical concepts and accentuation and spelling rules. Class is conducted entirely in Spanish. Periodic exams and compositions. Conditions of Enrollment: Oral fluency in Spanish. In order to succeed in this course, students must possess oral fluency in Spanish and the ability to understand readings and writings in Spanish. Or by placement. Advisories Language - recommended eligibility for English 1A
