Intermediate Piano I

Catalog description

Group piano class for students with at least one semester of concentrated piano study. The emphasis of this course is on playing level-appropriate musical selections, including techniques, repertoire, and sight reading skills, whereas the emphasis of MUS1E Keyboard Harmony I is on application of keyboard techniques to deepen understanding of Music Theory. This course prepares music major students for MUSIC 31R, Applied Skills in Piano. Grades are Pass/No Pass option. Advisory: Piano skills equivalent to skills learned in MUSIC 41A-Elementary Piano I.
