Catalog description

This course provides the skills and knowledge needed for a Fire Officer 2 to safely, effectively, and competently apply human resource policies and procedures, create a professional development plan, evaluate and maximize employee performance, recommend action for employee support, coordinate routine tasks and responsibilities, direct employees during a training evolution, understand the value of physical and medical fitness, implement safety measures and regulations, and conduct an accident investigation. Grades are P/NP options only. Entrance Skills: Meet one of the following requirements: (1) Office of State Fire Marshal Fire Fighter 2 certification (any version), or (2) Currently in the position of Company Officer or Fire Officer 2 (acting does not apply)
