A study of theories and properties of statistical hypothesis testing and estimation, including maximum likelihood method, likelihood ratio tests, sufficiency, and related topics. Credit will not be given for both STAT 4844 and STAT 6944 . Prereq.: STAT 4843 or STAT 6943 or permission of graduate coordinator.
