Examines some of the basic concepts and issues of modern Spanish linguistic theory in the areas of phonology, morphology, syntax and pragmatics, with special emphasis on sociolinguistics. Prereq.: Both SPAN 2607 and SPAN 2608 or SPAN 3702.
