This course explores the role and examines healthcare finance and economics from the perspective of the advanced practice nurse. Emphasis is given to analysis and synthesis of practice behaviors specific to the development of the advanced practice role. Financial management principles, the healthcare reimbursement system, reimbursement process, and factors influencing the financial environment are discussed. Prereq.: Acceptance and Enrollment in the DNP Nurse Anesthesia Program.
