Catalog description

This course provides the framework for preparing students to perform comprehensive health assessments on patients across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on taking a thorough nursing history, performing physiological, psychological, sociological, cultural, health risks and spiritual assessments. Laboratory experiences provide an opportunity to practice assessment skills, communication techniques and documentation. Three hours lecture and three hours lab experience. Prereq.: Admission to the Entry-level BSN program. Coreq.: NURS 2698L .
