For keyboard and non-keyboard majors). Class instruction and keyboard experience in jazz chordal voicing techniques including a study of open voicings using altered dominants and quartal voicings. Techniques will be applied to blues and jazz repertoire including performance of melodies, rhythmic accompaniments, and improvised comping. Meets two days per week. Prereq.: MUAC 3781 , or permission of instructor.
