Introduction to mechanical testing methods, metrology, tolerances, testing and inspection; semi-finished product manufacturing; macro-processing (forming, casting, powder metallurgy, metal working, composite fabrication); joining; nontraditional manufacturing processes; and surface processing. Prereq.: MATH 1572 and MECH 2606 .
