Catalog description

Practical study of metal casting science and technology. Concepts and principles learned through integrated lecture and laboratory experiences. Laboratory work uses foundry laboratory facilities for hands-on casting process work and solidification/flow modeling with simulation software. Students perform casting projects in lab and work in teams to develop gating and risering systems for metal castings. Prereq.: MET 2630L . Coreq.: MET 3750 .
