Catalog description

This course introduces the major results in advanced field theory. These results include splitting fields, algebraic extensions, finite extensions, cyclotomic polynomials, and finite fields. Credit will not be given for MATH 4823 and MATH 6923 . Prereq.: MATH 4822 or MATH 6922 .
