Catalog description

This course will introduce students to the importance of research in the healthcare field. Students will learn the skills necessary to critically appraise literature and how to apply it in the form of best practices in athletic training healthcare. Concepts related to effectively searching databases, research clinical question writing, and interpreting the validity and reliability of research findings will be included throughout the course. The course will lay the foundational understanding of conducting research that will be utilized during the capstone research project. Prereq.: Successful Completion of Fall 1 Courses.
