Catalog description

HRS 8935 will establish the historical foundation for clinical epidemiology and how the discipline has helped to shape modern health care and healthcare research. The course will discuss various research designs and appropriate statistics germane to epidemiology. Common measures of effect will be discussed with appropriate interpretation of these effects. The student will be expected to implement their knowledge of the subject by designing or redesigning a study specific to epidemiological principles within their area of interest.
