Catalog description

The purpose of the course is to give students the skills necessary to understand all aspects of health and health care especially those related to Health Care policy and delivery. It will examine the supply of and demand for health services, and the analysis of health care systems and current, previous and potential future legislation relevant to health care. Topics will include Medicare, Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, the Older Americans Act, and trends in health insurance coverage. Prereq.: MHHS or OMBA major.
