Catalog description

This one-credit hour course introduces students early in their academic careers, as well as newly transferred students, to the interdisciplinary nature of environmental science. Invited speakers will present on various topics in environmental science and career paths. Students will develop foundational skills through guided scientific literature searches and introductory scientific writing. Active components of the course include online database searches, proper citation methods, and basic instruction in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Prereq.: None.
