Concentrated study of discourse in English, primarily literature, from cultures other than the dominant or majority culture of a given society. Designed to develop awareness and sensitivity to issues of difference, power, and cross-cultural perspectives, and to address and facilitate students' multicultural literacy. May be repeated once with different topic. Prereq.: Completion of ENGL 1551 with grade "C" or better.
