Catalog description

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of legal writing, research, and analysis required in paralegal practice. Students will learn how to draft clear, concise, and professional legal documents using Plain English principles. Students will also develop competence in The Bluebook citation format. The course emphasizes practical skills, including case briefing, legal memoranda, client correspondence, and basic court filings. Prereq.: ENGL 1551 or ENGL 1551H with a minimum grade of C.
