This course that examines the policies, procedures, laws, regulations and structures that govern F-1 and J-1 student advising. Special attention will be paid to understanding the roles and responsibilities of the Designated School Official (DSO) and the Responsible Officer (RO) in student advising and immigration compliance, while understanding how these roles relate to implementing institutional policies and procedures.
