Signals and Systems: Study of the fundamental principles of continuous- and discrete-time signals and systems, including linear time-invariant (LTI) models; signal operations; Fourier series and Fourier transforms; impulse response and convolution; sampling; and discrete-time analysis with emphasis on FIR and IIR systems. Introduces basic concepts of probability and statistics and their applications in electrical engineering. Computer-aided design tools and methods are employed to analyze signals and systems. Prereq.: ECEN 2633 , ECEN 1521 , and MATH 3705 .
